Once you’ve decided to vacation in Grenada, the Spice Island of the Caribbean, one of the major decisions is deciding on a hotel. Where to stay in Grenada depends in part on your budget, who will be joining you on the trip, and the range of activities you plan to partake on the island. With that in mind, below are five Grenada resorts to consider four of which I stayed at during my recent two-week visit. My list of Grenada resorts to consider includes Coyaba Beach Resort, Laluna Resort, True Blue Bay Boutique Resort, Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, and Sandals Grenada Resort & Spa.

Where To Stay in Grenada – 5 Grenada Resorts

1. Coyaba Beach Resort

📍 Location: Grande Anse Beach, St. George’s, Grenada
⭐️ Rating: 8.6/10 | 🏩 Check rates and availability at Expedia.com
First up on the list of where to stay in Grenada is Coyaba Beach Resort. Owned by a Grenadian family, Coyaba Beach Resort has 80 rooms on 5 acres of tropical gardens and is perfect for families or groups of friends who want an all-inclusive option staying directly on world-famous Grand Anse Beach, which is nearly 3 miles long. Spread over eight buildings, the rooms at Coyaba Beach Resort have a terrace or a balcony with either garden, pool, or ocean views. They are air-conditioned and have neutral décor with splashes of vibrant color and dark wood.

Within the complex are two restaurants: Arawakabana Restaurant and The Carbet Restaurant, along with an outdoor pool with a swim-up bar terrace. Beyond the swim-up bar, there are also two additional bars, the Beach Bar and Coyaba’s main bar, Cacique. The resort offers a range of amenities, including tennis courts, a gym, a spa, and a watersports center for diving and kayaking. Coyaba Beach Resort is also within walking distance of the Le Marquis Shopping Complex and Grand Anse Shopping Center.

2. Laluna Boutique Hotel and Villas

📍 Location: Portici Beach, St George’s, Grenada
⭐️ Rating: 9.0/10 | 🏩 Check rates and availability at Expedia.com
Just a 10-minute drive from the airport, LaLuna Resort is a hidden gem in Grenada. With a focus on barefoot luxury, there are only sixteen cottages and luxury villas that are perfect for couples on their honeymoon or a romantic getaway. The beautifully decorated cottages all facing Porcini Beach, are approximately 1,000 square feet (93 square meters) and include a king-size four-post bed with Bellora Italian linen.

Beyond the gorgeous bed, there is also a sitting area with a satellite TV and a walk-in dressing area. Adding to the charm is the open-style en-suite bathroom with shower along with the private deck with a daybed and plunge pool. For dining at Laluna Boutique Hotel, there is the Sunset Bar and Lounge, along with the Italian Restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Beyond the beach and pool, there is also a wellness sanctuary at Laluna Boutique Hotel, which includes an Asian spa, a beachfront yoga pavilion, a sustainable organic garden, and a state-of-the-art gym. For those who which to venture out from this private retreat, St George’s, the capital, is just 10 minutes away.

3. True Blue Bay Boutique Resort

📍 Location: Old Mill Road True Blue Bay, St George’s, Grenada
⭐️ Rating: 8.8/10 | 🏩 Check rates and availability at Expedia.com
With two children’s outdoor play areas, two pools, and a small waterslide, True Blue Bay Boutique Resort with 38 rooms is perfect for families who want lots of outdoor and water activities and also want the option to cook some or all of their meals. There are three categories of accommodations at Tue Blue Bay Boutique Resort, including standard rooms, suites, and villas which are all vibrantly decorated in a contemporary manner with flat-screen TVs and small kitchenettes.

For those who which to completely relax and not cook, there is the Doddy Dock Restaurant which offers up a delicious menu of local and international cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lacking a proper beach (just a small human-made sandy area), True Blue Bay Boutique Resort makes up for this with a wide range of activities, including a yoga studio, Blue Haven Spa with chocolate treatments, cooking classes, rum, and chocolate-tasting, and watersports including diving, sailing, etc. True Blue Bay Boutique Resort is also the host of the annual Grenada Chocolate Festival.

4. Radisson Grenada Beach Resort

📍 Location: Grand Anse Beach, St. George’s, Grenada
⭐️ Rating: 8.8/10 | 🏩 Check rates and availability at Expedia.com
Radisson Grenada Beach Resort is another excellent Grenada resort directly on Grande Anse Beach that is perfect for the business traveler as it has a conference center along with a computer room which I regularly used during my stay to print out various documents. With 229 rooms and suites, I would also say that the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort is also an excellent choice for a large group of friends, family reunions, and beach wedding parties.

There are four different room categories at Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, ranging from 300 to 700 square feet with private patios or balconies. The decor in the room is pretty basic, but views of the beautiful grounds with pools and beach totally made up for this. Dining options at Grenada Grand Beach Resort include Tradewinds for buffet and menu breakfast and dinner; Bamboo Bar & Caffe; Oasis Grill for lunch; and Oasis Bar and Sunset Beach Bar. Amenities at Radisson Grenada Beach Resort include two swimming pools, a fitness center, two hot tubs, a diving shop, etc.

5. Sandals Grenada Resort & Spa

📍 Location: St. George’s, Saint George Parish, Grenada
⭐️ Rating: 8.8/10 | 🏩 Check rates and availability at Expedia.com
Another hotel to consider is Sandals Grenada Resort & Spa, a relatively new couples-only resort in Grenada with 225 rooms. While I did not stay at Sandals Grenada Resort & Spa during this visit, I had the opportunity to check out the beautiful sprawling 17-acre property and have dinner there one evening.

Another Grenada hotel for couples to consider if they want a romantic all-inclusive resort option. As with other Sandals Resorts, there are twenty room categories, from standard rooms to pool suites to standalone Rondovals. Also, there are ten different restaurants, including beachfront seafood and an upscale steakhouse.

Amenities include five pools, a health spa, a fitness center, tennis courts, and water sports, including unlimited diving for certified divers. Scattered around the property are also romantic touches such as fire pits, gazebos, and swinging chairs on a pier looking out over the water that makes the property romantic and distinctly Sandals.

These are but five of the leading resorts on the list of where to stay in Grenada. All of the Grenada resorts are relatively close to the airport and close to many of the top things to do in Grenada. Each of these offers a range of amenities, including free wifi and rooms in various price categories.  Plus, the staff at each is incredibly welcoming. So check out these Grenada resorts and pick one for your next vacation to the spice island. Of course, should you which to explore other places to stay in Grenada, check out Expedia to compare rates and availability.
